Modern cars are full of technology. They’ve got so many features, that very few people actually manage to use all of them, or even know how. When designing a car, it’s not just about cramming in as many features as possible. Ergonomics play a vital role in shaping the user experience. If the layout of all of the controls isn’t intuitive and simple, there’s no point–as a car manufacturer, you’ve already failed. The driver has to be able to adapt and get accustomed to the car’s infotainment system after spending mere hours in the cabin, not weeks or months.

Here’s where the new Lexus Enform comes in. Designed to offer intuitive connectivity and assistance right at your fingertips, it’s one of the most sophisticated infotainment systems ever fitted to a production car. Currently available in Lexus’ entire 2018 and 2019 lineup, it comes with several noteworthy features differentiating it from the average system on the market.

Safety Connect

Safety Connect is your direct lifeline to a 24/7 live service. Whether you’re calling about something as simple as a flat tire or something as dire as a collision, thanks to the car’s built-in cellular and GPS technology Lexus will dispatch help to your location as soon as possible.

The system also works as a stolen vehicle locator. Should your Lexus ever be stolen, the locator can help with recovery. After filing a police report, the Safety Connect Response Centre takes over in aiding the police to locate your missing vehicle. Last but by no means least is the automatic collision detection system. In the case an airbag deploys you’ll be immediately connected to a Response Centre Agent. If you’re not able to respond emergency services will be sent to your location immediately.

App Suite 2.0

Use your favourite mobile applications through the vehicle’s multimedia display and control everything through a single interface. Listen to your music, stream a podcast or even talk show. You can also get live weather reports, traffic reports, facility reviews and so much more. With voice-recognition, you don’t even have to take your hands off of the steering wheel.

Destination Assist

Have you ever dreamt of having a personal assistant catering to your every need? Well, your dreams are finally a reality with the new Lexus Enform. Destination Assist gives you 24-hour access to a live response center agent who will search on your behalf, find the information you need, and send it back to you through the Lexus Navigation System. With several dozen translators, requests can be carried out in just about any major language.

Scout GPS Link

Scout GPS Link will keep you on course. The smartphone-based navigation runs through your phone to the Lexus Display Audio and uses turn-by-turn voice prompts and full moving maps functionality to help you navigate busy streets and crowded cities. It can even store recent destinations and display your favourites.

If you’ve got a newer Lexus and need help clarifying any of the Enform features, don’t hesitate to reach out or stop by the dealership.
