Are Lexus Reliable?
Ask yourself what you want in a vehicle, and you’ll probably list a few things. No doubt, reliability will be on that list—probably pretty near the top. We need to get to where we’re going, and not just sometimes.
Looking as far back as the 1980s, one name has consistently been at the top of the reliability and dependability charts: Lexus.
According to iSeeCars.com and Car and Driver magazine, Toyota/Lexus ranks better than BMW, Ford, Honda, Chrysler, Volvo, and Volkswagen, among others, in total recalls in North America over the last 30 years (1985 to 2015).
Even Consumer Reports, largely considered the Bible of automobile reviews and reports, points to the exceptional reliability of Lexus vehicles. In its annual Car Reliability Survey, Lexus ranked as the most reliable automaker over the last three years. Adding to those accolades for 2015, Consumer Reports stated,
“Lexus pulled off a rare feat, garnering top reliability marks for all seven vehicle lines scored in our survey.”
Looking at the praise, it’s no wonder over 80 per cent of Toyota/Lexus products sold in Canada in the last 20 years are still on the road today. *
So, just how reliable is a Lexus vehicle? You can let the ratings do the talking…or even better, test one out for yourself.
