An evolution of Lexus Connected Services has arrived, forever changing the landscape of vehicle connectivity and user-functionality in modern vehicles. From utilizing a high performing, user-friendly interface, to implementing fast and intelligent connection services, the new Lexus Interface system is a marvel of new features that drivers and passengers will enjoy.
Here are four reasons to appreciate the new Lexus Interface.
A User-Friendly Experience
With a large 14”, high-definition touchscreen that’s glare-free (thanks to the optically bonded glass), the Lexus Interface provides users with easy access to the myriad of built-in features and wireless connectivity. The system’s menu can be found on the left-hand side of the screen and features simple controls that allow for effortless access to music and climate settings.
Subscribers of the Drive Connect Cloud Navigation will also have access to a crisp and clear map screen that can be navigated with zoom, pan and tilt functionality with a fast, smooth, and responsive touch screen performance.
An Intelligent Virtual Assistant
By simply asking “Hey, Lexus,” drivers are provided with a Voice Assistant that manages functions of the Multimedia System, like operating music or climate controls, with a simple voice request. With a Drive Connect subscription and Connected Services enabled, the Virtual Assistant can additionally take on navigational tasks, providing Google Point-Of-Interest locations, real-time traffic reports or local weather information on the go through the cloud-based system.
Greater Bluetooth Connectivity
Gone are the days of frustrating and complex Bluetooth connectivity to a vehicle’s multimedia system. With the new Lexus Interface, users can expect a faster connectivity of up to five smart devices, even allowing up to two devices to be connected at once.
This gives both the driver and passengers more accessible access to the integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems that come standard within the interface systems.
Lexus Mobile App Integration
Building on the existing functionality of the Remote Connect system, Lexus has introduced the ability to store user profiles, paired to either a smartphone device or the vehicle’s smart key. This allows drivers to automatically set music and screen display settings, as well as access the remote start/stop, climate controls and additional features on the mobile app.
